Care & Cleaning of Sinks & Window Sills
SFI products require minimal care to maintain their original beauty:
Matte Finished Sinks & Window Sills
How To Clean
Sink tops and window sills with a matte finish can be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge using warm soapy water or general purpose cleaners (including abrasives, such as Comet).
How To Polish
The surface may need occasional polishing to maintain its appearance / luster. This is especially true of dark colors (Coal, Canyon, Kodiak, Timberline, Black Stone, Savona, Verona, Umbria, and Etna) and can be used on any color based on your personal preference. Solid surface polish can be purchased at your local home improvement or hardware store. Follow instructions, as build up of polish will cause sink tops and / or window sills to look dull.

How To Polish
The surface may need occasional polishing to maintain the gloss appearance. Solid surface polish can be purchased at your local home improvement or hardware store. Follow instructions carefully as build up of polish will cause sink tops and / or window sills to look dull.
Cleaners With Bleach Are Not Recommended For General Cleaning
What To Try & Avoid
- Strong Chemicals / Cleaners – Avoid exposure to strong chemicals. If strong chemicals / cleaners containing methylene chloride, acetone (nail polish remover), or acid drain cleaners come in contact with your vanity top or bowl, quickly flush surface with plenty of soapy, warm water.
- Hair Dye – Even though all surfaces are non-porous, use of hair dye has been known to stain light colored, especially solid white tops. Cleaners with bleach may counteract the stain, but are not recommended for general cleaning.
- Adhesive – Adhesive, left from the protective film or caulk that was not cleaned up well after installation, can be removed with an adhesive remover. Goo-Be-Gone works well and can be used on both matte and gloss tops.
