SFI's products require minimal care to maintain their original beauty. These surfaces are non-porous so they can be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge using general purpose cleaners. Use sparingly, as directed, (build up of polish may cause top to look cloudy).
Some chemicals may slightly stain the surface but virtually all can be removed with a mild abrasive cleaner or liquid bleach. Nail polish should be removed with a non-acetone based nail polish remover and flushed with water.
To disinfect, occasionally wipe surface with diluted household bleach, (1 part water to 1 part bleach). If necessary, use this solution to soak in the bowl for 2 hours and then flush with water.
Avoid exposure to strong chemicals. If strong cleaners containing methylene chloride, acetone (nail polish remover) or acid drain cleaners come in contact with your vanity top or bowl, quickly flush surface with plenty of soapy water.
The surface is highly impact resistant; however, heavy or pointed objects striking the surface can leave damage.
The beauty of the matte finish is that you can remove scratches by yourself. Sand away minor scratches with 280 or 320 grit wet sandpaper until the scratch is gone. Extreme surface damages may require on-site repair by a qualified dealer representative. See also Customer Maintenance & Repair Instructions.
